We are pleased to announce that Alpine Food Distributing, Inc, headquartered in Portland Oregon, intends to acquire Astro Food Service, a California-based Redistributor.
 

The acquisition is scheduled to close early January 2025, after which the combined businesses will transition into a new facility located in Vernon, California, operating thereafter as Alpine Foods California, LLC.
 

This combination, along with the expansion of our facilities, will create numerous opportunities for our employees, customers, and suppliers. This acquisition will strengthen both companies’ ability to meet heightened demand for their superior service, operational efficiencies, shorter lead times, enhanced product availability, additional resources and greater fulfillment to our supplier and customer community.
 

Todd Arutunian, current CEO and Owner of Astro Food Service along with his team, will remain with the new company ensuring a smooth transition as the core of Alpine California.
